San Junipero is the project of
(Serena) Utah Miller, a gender-
fluid composer and songwriter from Baltimore formerly of Legends of Et cetera. Utah is outspoken about their sexual and gender identity. Many of their songs recount their own understanding of gender and sexuality, the continued persecution of the LGBTQ+ community in the United States, and the need for acceptance and understanding.
